In the Kitchen: Sweet Potato Fries
Down south in Missouri, I had the MOST delicious sweet potato fries EVER. The key ingredient was the brown sugar sprinkled on top. Unable to drive 6.5 hours to get the real deal, I decided to try it on my own. Although they didn’t have the “blow my mind” factor as the ones I had at Lonny Rays in Missouri, but they were pretty good for taking a shot at home. Homemade Apple Pie
Tis’ the season for apples and pie-making! We were lucky to be in Michigan during the height of apple-season and brought some honey crisp apples home with us. So, I thought I would share a family recipe, my grandmother’s famous apple pie. She is notorious for her pies. She has mastered the art of the pie crust and I can only try to make mine as good.
