30 Hours in Harbor Country

A Weekend At The Sleeping Bear Dunes

This past weekend we made the trek up to Empire, Michigan to camp at the Sleeping Bear Dunes. The trees were at their peak colors and the Indian Summer weather made it the perfect time to go on a camping adventure.  The Sleeping Bear dunes are one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Michigan Fruit Stands

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve driven the 3 hour stretch across Michigan to Ann Arbor and haven’t taken advantage of these highway exit gems. In need of a bathroom stop, I decided to get off at Exit 39- near Coloma and I found these charming fruit stands filled with local Michigan bounty.  I brought back some blueberries, cherries, sugar snap peas and strawberries.
